Summary: A mentorship program was launched to support learners pursuing Google Professional Certificates on Coursera.
Challenge: Research from Harvard and MIT shows that average completion rates for MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) typically range from 5-15%, influenced by factors like learner motivation and course difficulty.
Solution: The mentorship program provided learners with support to help them overcome these challenges.
Results: I identified program graduates as mentors through a combination of data analysis and interviews, and onboarded them. The majority of these selected candidates successfully completed their volunteer terms and were awarded a public badge as a recognition of their achievement. By offering ongoing support to learners facing challenges, the mentorship program significantly increased learner engagement throughout the program.

Summary: A peer learning community platform was designed to connect patients with similar diagnoses while ensuring their privacy and meeting strict healthcare compliance standards.
Challenge: Creating a platform that adheres to the highest security standards, in compliance with healthcare regulations, was crucial. Additionally, building trust among a community of anonymous patients presented a significant challenge for effective community management.
Solution: We developed a privacy-focused platform that fosters patient interaction while meeting healthcare data compliance standards.
Results: The platform empowered patients through shared experiences, human connection, and access to health education. It is helping real people every day.

Summary: A 2-minute video introduces the workflow for new members of the learning community, enabling course participants to take their initial steps on Slack and effectively use it during the course.
Challenge: Few learners actively engage with their peers in the course community due to limited experience using Slack for communication with instructors and peers.
Solution: By offering guidance during the learning community onboarding process, I motivated learners to engage more actively by sharing their insights and supporting peers with questions.
Results: The onboarding experience in the learning community led to impressive activation rates, with over 50% of learners posting within the first month. Furthermore, there has been sustained high engagement month over month, with 55% posting, 7% reacting, and 38% viewing.
