My story
I began my career as a university instructor and learner experience researcher, designing courses for medical students to help them communicate effectively and appropriately with patients from diverse language and cultural backgrounds. This work made me realize my passion for helping people. Over the years, I have presented my research internationally and authored over 20 publications, including textbooks and a monograph. I have achieved a Google Scholar h-index of 6, comparable to the impact of postdoctoral researchers.
After completing my studies and research at the UQ (Australia), CWRU School of Medicine (North America), MSU and London Met (Europe), I transitioned into corporate learning. I worked in EdTech and BioTech companies on projects such as onboarding new hires at drug manufacturing facilities, creating gamified experiences for thousands of Coursera learners, organizing train-the-trainer and professional development events, managing company-wide FDA compliance training, and designing scalable social learning solutions from scratch in a startup.
Currently, I am working on short-term contracts. I am actively seeking new opportunities and interesting projects.
In the future, I aspire to be a leader in the Learning & Development field, creating processes and products that serve as many happy learners as possible.
My values
Curiosity: I am a lifelong learner who loves to explore through reading and experiencing the world. Having lived, worked, and studied on several continents, I know multiple languages and have a deep understanding of various cultures. My curiosity has allowed me to gain valuable insights, enabling me to teach undergraduate students about effective intercultural communication and write several books. With a curious personality, I have a proven track record of continuous learning. This spring, I was admitted to Stanford’s Code in Place course and began learning my first coding language. Curiouser and curiouser!
Ethics: Ethics has played an important role in my professional journey. I pursued training in healthcare and research administration, driven by a strong commitment to promoting high ethical standards to protect vulnerable populations and deliver high-quality results. In every team I join, I encourage dialogue and ethical decision-making, whether it's in the context of user data collection, design, or other areas. Together, we can drive positive change!
Empathy: Empathy is at the heart of designing engaging learning experiences. I enjoy communicating directly with learners to better understand their needs and address training-related issues. Whether through interviews, focus groups, surveys, or support chats, I am always motivated to engage with the target audience and learn from others. Let's build a future of learning rooted in empathy!
My dream
My dream is to create an exceptional learning experience that not only proves its effectiveness through large-scale research but also empowers countless learners to achieve their dreams.
